Dr. Escobedo-Escotto is a trilingual international physician with 6 years of experience in the clinical research field. Dr. Escobedo-Escotto joined Emerson Clinical Research Institute (ECRI) in May 2016, where she serves as site director. She has develop her passionate interest in working with patients whose needs are unmet by the public and private system. Currently, she works as Sub-Investigator in several clinical trials related to adult primary care, women’s health and mental health.
Her focus in health needs of the community and her main interest has always been to improve health access to minorities, especially women and children. She decided to co-found Emerson Community Clinic. In 2018, she received the Community Service Award from the Scottish Rite, for the positive effect on increasing health education awareness and serving an important number of patients who did not have access to a cultural oriented medical practice.
At present, Dr. Escobedo-Escotto is part of the Emerson Diversity Health Foundation Board.
She is also a Weekly presenter on her medical segment “Salud en la Comunidad” at the TV show “Tu Salud Tu Familia” in Telemundo WZDC Washington D.C.
