Dr. Kisha Davis, family physician, is a passionate primary care provider with special interests in chronic disease management including diabetes, HIV/AIDS, as well as women’s health and geriatrics. She currently serves as medical director of Casey Health Institute, an integrative primary care center in Gaithersburg, MD. Just prior she served as a White House Fellow at the US Department of Agriculture. Prior to the fellowship she served as a family physician at Federally Qualified Health Center serving an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse population in Columbia, MD. A Maryland native with strong ties to Quince Orchard, Dr. Davis completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University. Dr. Davis received her MD from the University of Connecticut where she received the Lyman Stowe Award for humanitarianism in medicine. She completed her residency from the University of Maryland where she served as Chief Resident, and later earned a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She has taught medical students from both Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland and has traveled on medical missions to Zimbabwe, Honduras, and New Orleans. She was the New Physician Member on the American Academy of Family Physicians Board of Directors and currently serves as the President of the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians. She is Co-Producer of The Quince Orchard Project, a documentary to preserve the diverse history of a community in northwestern Montgomery, County, MD.
