CoPilot Provider Support Services
While attending medical school, Moby noticed a massive void in the healthcare industry. It was lacking a high-touch, patient-centric and physician-centric specialty pharmacy. At the time, many of the key distribution channels were basic and did not offer the personalized service Moby believed were both required and deserved for all patients. Instead of pursuing a career in patient care as a physician, Moby focused on corporate medicine and developed a company to create healthcare solutions through technology.
In 2006, Moby co-founded CareMed Specialty Pharmacy, an independent specialty pharmacy. It quickly gained recognition as one of the nation's fastest growing, privately held companies by Inc. Magazine, and by December 2013, annual sales reached $250MM. PharMerica, a leading provider of pharmacy services, acquired CareMed in March 2017. Today, Moby serves as Co-founder and President of CoPilot Provider Support Services, a minority-led, top provider of technologically advanced patient access services for the life-sciences industry. In this role, he oversees the development of the company’s innovative bio-pharma reimbursement HUB solutions to overcome access to treatment barriers and improve patient outcomes. Most recently, Moby managed CoPilot’s transition to a hybrid workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing doctors better remote access for reimbursement challenges, while also creating new jobs.
As part of CoPilot, Moby established and drives CoPilot Cares, a charitable initiative that benefits underprivileged children and families around the world through a variety of philanthropic efforts. One of CoPilot Cares’ key investments is the installation of hand pumps for clean water where access is lacking. To date, CoPilot Cares has installed more than 200 hand pumps in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, providing clean water to families in remote communities.
Moby has authored a number of posters and articles focused on patient outcomes and healthcare value, presented at ISPOR (International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research) and the Association of Academic Physiatrists Annual Meeting (2015).
Moby serves on a variety of charitable boards including Bali Memorial Trust, N.A.M. Helping Hands Foundation, and Friends for Good Health, who previously honored Moby as Entrepreneur and Philanthropist of the Year. Moby secured the NY Met’s Spirit Award in 2019, given to prominent Muslims in the community who made a huge difference in the Muslim diaspora in America. Over the years, Moby has also earned various citations from the New York State Senate, New York State Assembly, Nassau County Executive, the Town of North Hempstead, New York and the Town of Oyster Bay, New York for his contributions to creating jobs, his work as a prominent South Asian who made an economic and social impact within the community, and also, his entrepreneurship, philanthropy and service as a global goodwill ambassador.
