Janelle Nichols, MPH is the Director of Programs at the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation, an organization serving Washington, DC’s Wards 7 and 8. Ms. Nichols oversees the year-round planning, execution, and quality control of program activities, administration, curriculum development, and communication; develops and implements centralized documents and standardized processes; and ensures compliance with grant regulations. Ms. Nichols focuses on embedding public health practices within the organization’s programming and works to fill gaps in services for those enrolled and their families. Ms. Nichols completed her master’s degree at the George Washington University with a concentration in global health, where her thesis focused on utilizing entertainment education to address HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. She received her undergraduate degree in health administration from Ohio University.
