Dr. Nkanyezi (Kanya) Ferguson is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Iowa. She completed her medical degree and Internal Medicine internship at the University of Missouri. She then attended the University of Iowa where she completed her dermatology residency and Fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology. Her surgical focus is in cutaneous oncology and surgical reconstruction. Her clinical and academic interests include general dermatology, ethnic skin care, and global dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to jazz, reading and traveling.
