La Roux Pendleton, MPH

La Roux Pendleton, MPH is a Health Program Specialist II in the Office of Health Equity at the California Department of Public Health(CDPH), officially leading $60m California Reducing Disparities Project to reduce mental health disparities in African American, Native American, Latino, Asian Pacific Islander, and LGBTQ communities. Prior to joining the Office of Health Equity, La Roux served as the Diabetes Lead in the Chronic Disease Control Branch. La Roux has been with CDPH for over ten years and has served the department in various capacities. Her previous work in the department includes tobacco control, cancer detection, and coordinated chronic disease prevention. She holds a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
