Teena Franҫois-Blue is a passionate community advocate, epidemiologist, educator and entrepreneur committed to achieving social justice and health equity for minority and underserved communities. For 17 years, her career has focused on health disparities research and the use of that knowledge to drive systems-level change.
Mrs. Franҫois-Blue is the co-founder and CEO of Franҫois-Blue Consulting, LLC (FBC), a social enterprise supporting small businesses. CBOs and other institutions maximize their capacity through leadership development, organizational capacity building and community engaged research. She provides coaching and supports to expand the skills of business leaders to better serve their institutions and their community. Likewise, she has provided leadership training for future health professionals at the University of Michigan and University of Illinois-Chicago Schools of Public Health.
Mrs. Franҫois-Blue is also Associate Director of Community Health Initiatives and Research for the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force. She has facilitated the organization’s transition into a national model in the reduction of racial disparities in breast cancer mortality.
She holds a Master of Public Health from Tulane University and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Mrs. Franҫois-Blue currently resides on Southside of Chicago with her wife, Shalema.
