Since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, the United States has made substantial progress improving the overall health of the nation, yet racial and ethnic disparities in health and health care persist. The 2022 Health Equity and Accountability Act Summit is premised on the understanding that persistent health disparities in the United States are unacceptable and correctable.
