The Impact of COVID-19 on the U.S. HIV Epidemic
The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)--the virus that causes HIV infection--was once considered a death sentence. Almost 40 years since innovative HIV treatment, care, and prevention began, continued stigma and widening disparities exacerbated by COVID-19 contribute to the uneven progress to end the HIV epidemic among Black and Latino Americans.
Tune in on Friday for a discussion on how:
COVID-19 has impacted the efforts to End the HIV Epidemic;
Community Based Organizations (CBOs) are responding to new patient and community needs presented by COVID-19; and
What action CBOs believe Congress needs to take to get the Nation back on track to end the epidemic by 2030.
