Left Out: Barriers to Health Equity for Rural & Underserved Webinar
The House Ways and means Committee released a staff report on July 14th titled Left Out: Barriers to Equity for Rural and Underserved Communities. From the press release, Left Out "analyzes the barriers to health care in underserved communities and discusses the challenges associated with scalable and sustainable solutions. From massive geographic coverage deficiencies to structural environmental factors, the report examines the realities millions of Americans face that adversely affect their health. The report also takes a close look at how these challenges are biproducts of systemic racism and economic inequality."
Join us on Friday at noon EST, to speak with two contributors to the report to hear more about health equity for rural and underserved communities from legal & policy as well as clinical medicine & global comparison perspectives.
