Elder Care & COVID-19 Webinar

Elder Care & COVID-19 Webinar

When it comes to COVID-19, older adults have an increased risk of developing severe illness. Research is showing that adults 65 and older, especially those with preexisting medical conditions, are more likely to have a severe or even deadly COVID-19 infection than other age groups. In fact, the CDC reports that 8 out of 10 deaths reported in the United States have been in adults 65 years old and older. Factors such as dementia--which can include behavioral and psychological symptoms--also affect this age group more than others, complicating potential prevention and treatment measures.
In this week's webinar, we'll hear about what older adults need to know and how we can protect our older, more vulnerable friends and family members.
