COVID-19, Diabetes, and People of Color: Update on the Science and the Need for Vaccination and Continuing Precautions
Friday's webinar features a presentation by Dr. Jaime Davidson on COVID-19, Diabetes, and People of Color: Update on the Science and the Need for Vaccination and Continuing Precautions.
Dr. Davidson is a Clinical Professor of Medicine, Diabetes Touchstone Center, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is one of the original AACE charter members and continues to serve uninterrupted in various positions, most recently as an advisor to the Board.
Dr. Davidson also served in higher education as a Regent of Midwestern State University. He chaired the Texas Diabetes Council, Texas Department of Health; chaired the CDC Minority Initiatives; and served in the Translation Committee. He was an FDA advisor in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases. He also served the National Diabetes Advisory Board and reported on the State of Diabetes at the Veterans Administration. For the Institute of Medicine, his involvement included the work on Priority Areas for National Action, Transforming Health Care Quality.
