Dr. Stephanie Strohbeen is a resident physician at the Medical College of Wisconsin in the combined Internal Medicine-Geriatrics program. She worked for several years as a Certified Medical Assistant before choosing to pursue her love of medicine and life-long learning by attending the University of Wisconsin - River Falls to earn her BS in biology. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin - Central Wisconsin as part of the inaugural class where she was elected to serve as the campus’s first delegate to the American Medical Association - Medical Student Section (AMA-MSS) assembly. Dr. Strohbeen continued her involvement in advocacy and organized medicine throughout medical school in various leadership roles with Wisconsin Medical Society (WMS) and AMA which culminated in representing medical students across the nation as the Chair of the AMA-MSS. Currently, Dr. Strohbeen serves as the WMS Resident and Fellow Section Chair and as a member of the AMA’s Council on Long Range Planning and Development. She recently was appointed to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s Review Committee for Internal Medicine.
