Shweta Singh Maniar is the Global Director, Healthcare and Life Sciences Solutions and Strategy for Google Cloud. In this role, Shweta leads this rapidly growing business within the most strategic and transformational Life Sciences accounts worldwide by driving business transformation and innovation with emerging products, value-added initiatives, and first-of-their-kind deals. Leveraging a deep background in commercial strategy for life sciences, pharma, and healthcare technology, Shweta crafted the vision and strategy to execute the company’s first GTM strategy for verticalizing cloud solutions in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. She built a team of experts, grew the opportunity pipeline from zero to $1.3B+, and negotiated global strategic partnerships leveraging broad Google solutions with Sanofi and Accenture, among others. During her award-winning career with Genentech, Shweta led the $1.9B acquisition of Flatiron and created a healthcare technology accelerator that vetted thousands of digital health startups for potential acquisition or investment. Previously, she directed the Center for Minimally Invasive Therapeutics at Summa Health System Hospital and worked in research roles with The Cleveland Clinic and Scripps Clinic.
Shweta is an Indian classical dancer and instructor, as well as an avid almond farmer with a passion for international travel, culture, and cuisine. She sits on the boards of RXSight, an ophthalmic medical technology company, and Seaspine, a global spinal technology company. A frequent industry speaker and strategic partner of the California Life Sciences Association, Shweta advises dozens of startups in the biotech and life sciences space. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California – San Diego, and a Certificate in Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneurship with Distinction from Duke University.
