Imani R Lewis, MHA, MPH, PCMH CCE is passionate about the accessibility of quality preventive and primary health care to all.

Imani Lewis is a native Chicagoan. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana. She also earned both a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Administration, both from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She has most recently completed a Leadership Development Fellowship with The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Chicago Urban League.

Currently, Imani works for the top-rated Managed Care Organization in Illinois where she is a part of the senior leadership team in the Quality Improvement department. The company’s mission is to continuously improve the quality of care in a low resource environment by making high-quality healthcare easier to give and receive.

In her previous position, at one of the country’s largest Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC) organizations, Imani’s role as a leader in the Quality and Clinical Operations department focused on integrating the care model used to transform primary care to produce higher quality, lower costs, and improve patient experiences.

Outside of Imani’s focus on health care, she is dedicated to providing community outreach and mentorship. One of her most notable honors is be voted, for the both the 2016-2017 and 2015-2016 Ladies of Virtue program years, as Mentor of the Year. This program is dedicated to improving the lives of young women, ages 10 to 18, in underserved communities.
